Weekly GCSE Maths Revision Class
£25 per week
*The first lesson is free
The 2023-2024 classes were an incredible success - all students who regularly attended achieved at least 1 grade above their predicted grade (many did even better).
These are an ideal way for students to structure their learning and revision, in order to achieve the best grade possible.
Below is a summary of how the weekly lessons are organised.
If you would like to experience the weekly class (without actually joining) you can get the resources, recording of a live lesson and everything else you'd experience, here.
How the lessons are organised
The week before each lesson students receive:
A tutorial video on the upcoming weekly key topic.
A worksheet of questions in order to practise the key topic.
A GCSE half paper to complete ahead of the lesson.
A second version of the half paper that includes hints.
A list of topics covered in the half paper with links to video explanations for each topic.
How the lessons work:
Each week there is a 45 minute live lesson.
The lesson will start with a focus on the weekly key topic.
For the main part of the lesson we will work through the half GCSE maths past paper that was sent to students at the beginning of the week.
I will explain how to answer each question and model the ideal solutions.
There will be a focus on exam techniques, tips, and the methods I use to break GCSE questions down so they are easier to understand.
After each lesson students receive:
A link to the video recording of the lesson.
My hand written solutions of the half paper we covered.
Worksheets for every topic covered in the half paper.
Their half paper returned - marked and graded (worth £15). See my exam paper marking service.
The ability to book a one to one lesson at a discounted rate.
Students will then also receive the work for the following lesson.
Cost: £25 per week
Why these lessons make such an impact
The lessons offer a structured and regular way for:
Students to complete exam papers (half a paper each week - so not too overwhelming)
Students to learn and practice a new key topic each week
Students to receive feedback weekly from having their paper marked
Students to receive guidance from an experienced examiner and tutor on exam technique and mathematical reasoning
Students who show up each week and are actively taking part - make progress.
Why these lessons are based around past papers
Students are ultimately assessed by sitting a formal exam paper, practising past papers, gets you used to the style of questions and you begin to get better at the exam.
The papers provide an accurate representation of what students already know and what they need to know.
Regularly completing past papers improves your problem solving skills.
Students begin to anticipate what the question is asking them as they recognise similar questions (and importantly the layout of the question).
The first lesson is free
I offer all students their first lesson for free, as this is the best way for you to decide whether these lessons will work for you.
Regular weekly lessons are £25.
If you would like to experience the weekly class (without actually joining) you can get the resources, recording of a live lesson and everything else you'd experience, here.
